Moving Past Basic Regulation Training
You already know what coregulation is. You've read the research, attended the introductory trainings, and you understand the nervous system basics.Β Most clinicians can spot a dysregulated client. Far fewer know what to do when that client is postpartum, her baby is in the NICU, she's presenting as high-functioning, and her nervous system has been in dorsal vagal shutdown for six weeks. Beyond Coregulation is a full-day advanced training built specifically for clinicians working with perinatal populations. You'll leave with a concrete clinical framework, trauma-informed language you can use in session the very next day, and a structured approach to intervention layering that meets clients exactly where their nervous system is. How This Training Works β Two Ways to Attend: ποΈ In-Person Experience (Limited to 12 seats) Join us live in Little Rock, AR. Includes hands-on participation, live demos, and direct access to the presenter. Light refreshments provided β think grazing boards, drinks, and more. Only 12 seats available β first come, first served. π» Virtual via Zoom (Unlimited spots) Attend from wherever you are. Virtual participants have full access to the live training, Q&A, and all materials. A Zoom link will be sent upon registration. What You'll Learn: By the end of this training, participants will be able to: - Distinguish nervous system states in perinatal clients β accurately identify regulation, hyperarousal, and dorsal vagal shutdown, including the clinical misreads that delay getting clients the intervention they actually need. - Apply the R.E.G.U.L.A.T.E. Clinical Framework to complex presentations including NICU mothers, birth trauma survivors, and high-functioning clients who are quietly in shutdown. - Read infant regulatory cues with clinical confidence β differentiate dyadic nervous system concerns from presentations requiring pediatric evaluation, holding medical and relational assessment as complementary rather than competing priorities. - Evaluate client readiness for neurofeedback referral using a structured decision tree that includes contraindication screening and ethical, evidence-based communication with clients. - Use shame-reducing, trauma-informed language in response to perinatal presentations involving disconnection, perceived failure, and birth trauma disclosure β scripts you can take straight into session. - Build an individualized intervention layering plan that integrates somatic, biofeedback, and coregulation strategies matched to nervous system state, access barriers, and concurrent medical needs. Who This Training Is For: This training is designed for licensed therapists, counselors, and social workers who are already working with perinatal clients and want a deeper, more structured clinical approach. If you've felt uncertain about what to do when basic coregulation isn't landing β this training was built for that moment. This is not an introductory course. Β Continuing Education: This training offers 6 NBCC CE credits upon completion.
